Dear Family and Friends,

Life is a journey--full of many twists and turns. We constantly watch Antonia make progress, however it is kind like watching a child make progress-the parents never notice it as much as the visiting relatives. We are always grateful and humbled when those visiting relatives and friends see what we often have a hard time seeing becauase of close and continuous contact with her. Recently we have had some friends and famiy see Antonia and remind us of how much better she is communicating and interacting, and that was encouraging.

Antonia regularly listens to sermons and scripture on various listening devices (walkman, radio, stereo, computer, etc.). It is always encouraging that the Word of God preached, read or sung is what gives her the most comfort in this life. If her memory worked better, she would surely have the Scriptures memorized by now. Whenever she is agitated, scared or feeling pity, all I have to do is direct her attention to the Word, and off herself, and she is quickly comforted. Just as God said, "I will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on me."

Antonia stands up in a standing frame every day for about 30 minutes. This really stimulates the body and mind and is helpful for her overall well-being. She doesn't always like it, but then again, none of us like to do what doesn't feel good.

She has been doing really well at the pool also. She walks in the pool with her mom, and has even been able to lock and wieght her left leg (which is mostly paralyzed), recently. It greatly helps that she is much lighter in the water, however, she hasn't been able to do that before.

We do appreciate your prayers and support, and ask that you continue to remember Antonia and the family and we press forward in her recovery.

Blessings,
Dean
